After a two year break, AGA CAD is participating as an exhibitor at this year's North American Revit Technology Conference (RTC) that is a unique conference covering all things about Autodesk® Revit® and BIM.

Our team will have a second chance to come back to the USA and meet our friend and make new ones there this year. We are happy with the result of participating at AIA Convention 2015 in Atlanta in May and we hope that at RTC NA we will have pleasant interactions and positive emotions too.

AIA 2015 National Convention and Expo in Atlanta is one of the largest and most exciting annual gatherings of architects and design professionals in the U.S.

American Institute of Architects (AIA) Expo brings together the newest products, materials, and technologies—and the people who are experts in using them. One of those experts will be AGACAD team members because our company will be an exhibitor at this year's AIA Expo too (booth #3285).

AGA CAD takes off in Thailand and Myanmar with exclusive M Technologies (Thailand) Ltd. partnership

At the second part of March, 2015 AGA CAD has agreed on an exclusive partnership with M Technologies (Thailand) Ltd. (MTECH) to distributing, supplying and providing after sales service of its market proven BIM solutions, and extensions for Autodesk® Revit® known under TOOLS4BIM trademark. MTECH, a leading IT software and service provider in Thailand and Myanmar, became the exclusive AGA CAD software dealer in this region.

Sweden's BIM software leader AEC AB chose AGA CAD developed frame construction and engineering network design solutions as the most appropriate for their clients.

Negotiations, which started in last year's second half have finally culminated in the beginning of this year when a partnership agreement was signed. AEC AB - one of the largest software distributing companies operating in Sweden is interested in representing AGA CAD not just in Sweden, but in Finland and other Scandinavian countries too: Denmark and Norway.

AEC AB is a leading Swedish company providing special software and services for construction industry. Seeing that there is a shortage of BIM programs for effective design in the market, the AEC Company sought add-ons for Autodesk Revit programs that could be offered to Scandinavian designers.

About half a year ago, AEC team's attention was caught by "AGA CAD" developed framed building design tools, fit for the Autodesk Revit software users. This company was looking for IT solution that would be similar to MWF HomeBuilder tools but made for the European market and not only for the 2*4" system used in USA market. So AEC AB decided to test AGA CAD developed program packages Wood Framing and Metal Framing, used for framed building design. AEC representatives were satisfied with testing results.

The three Wise Men have brought good news for all Revit Architecture and Revit Structure users: new BIM solution is coming soon! Our team is currently making final testing on our newest BIM solution Metal Framing Rafter+ that provides a set of intuitive tools for roof framing and automatic generation of shop drawings.

We've got many requests to make a full package of Metal Framing Suite, therefore new product Metal Framing Rafter+ was created and it will complete our Metal Framing product package soon. We expect that in few upcoming weeks it will be released. Powerful new solution Metal Framing Rafter+ automatically generates light-gauge steel framing members of any roof shape including openings. It will help Revit users automatically generate all required metal roof members, select suitable wall-roof connection types, update all structure changes and automatically generate shop drawings.

This BIM solution is designed for making an easy roof framing completion and element scheduling. We can guarantee that this solution will save you a lot of time so it is worth to wait for the upcoming product. Stay tuned and we'll be in touch regarding Metal Framing Rafter+ again very soon!

Those, who follow our news, know that AGA CAD Company participated in Autodesk University Extension Dubai 2014 conference on December 17th. Our team members, who represented AGA CAD in the event, admitted that they were very impressed by the number of participants and the opportunity to communicate directly with the Middle Eastern market designers, and a very high level of event's organization.

Those who constantly follow AGACAD activities have already noticed that the company, founded as far back as 1991, changed its entire visual identity at the end of the 2014 year.

Why did the company decide to change?

AGA CAD was founded over two decades ago. Almost ten years ago it started Autodesk software extension developing. Over the past few years, the company has significantly increased its products' supply for designers working in AEC fields. Gradually the company is ripe for changes.

At the beginning of 2014 the company's management was fully determined on the company's brand alterations. There was a search for the most acceptable AGACAD branding, brand positioning questions have also been solved.

The changes affected not only the company's brand, but also part of the product names, customer support, licensing methods and more. Visual alterations are like a crown of all changes.

It took us almost whole 2014 year to crystallize – what are we and what our purpose is. It was very important for us: who are the end-users, how they live, what is important for them, how we can benefit them, what are our customer's expectations. We also wanted to clear out how we are different, what vision we strive to follow and on what values AGACAD activities are based.

What's new in AGACAD branding?

AGACAD offers both network and standalone license types of software licenses. Software with standalone licensing allows users to install the software on a single workstation (1 license = 1 computer) without the need to be connected to a company network.

Network licensing helps software user to ensure his/her own access to the right product at the right time, and it enables easy and efficient control of software use. Another customer's benefit – the only fixed annual fee (valid for 12 months) is applied for a company but not per license.

Network license can be installed on as many computers as desired; however, at any one time, only the maximum number of computers, which is specified in the licenses, can run the software. The Network License Manager (NLM), installed on one or more servers, controls the distribution of particular product licenses to the users.

Based on our experience, AGACAD customers need to have the most effective licensing model to fit their operation rules. Therefore we improved the licensing models. Now AGACAD provides NLM Annual Service that enables current SLM licenses' migration to NLM licenses and vice versa.
