Floor Trusses have been included into Wood Framing Truss+
add-on for Revit!

The influence of structural and non-structural walls to Structural Framing's and Wall's connections in Revit is undoubtable and known to many who struggled with them. Why struggled, you may ask? Basically, if the wall is structural, end point of beam or truss automatically moves to the wall's centerline instead of the external face of wall's structural core.

Wood Framing Roof+ frames prefabricated roof panels. Roof Panel Layout automates panel layout planning for architectural roof. The software draws symbolic lines according to predefined rules which indicate the way future panels will look like. Then it creates actual Revit® roof panels.

Roof Panel Layout is a powerful solution for prefabricated roof panels in Revit®. It enables easy roof panel planning and splitting into segments for prefabrication which can then be used in the roof framing process.

After getting a roof from the architects, we can use Roof Panel Layout to generate the panel layout planning. The software uses predefined rules to draw symbolic lines indicating the future panels. Then it creates real Revit® roof panels. Later Wood Framing Roof+ or Metal Framing Roof+ users can use these panels to create prefabricated framing, including rafters, battens, valley joists, roof boards, and so on.

Using Wood Framing Wall+ and Metal Framing Wall+, you can automate wall framing work in Revit and build complete shop drawings with dimensioning, part lists and material take-off automatically. Solution will collect all elements from one wall panel and make assembly with predefined views, add dimensions, add tags, make sheets and put the views into the sheets.

With new Wood Framing Wall+ and Metal Framing Wall+ version you will be able to generate more detailed shop drawings and have possibility to create multiple sheets for one wall panel. We received this request from our client Mr. Alar Oinus (Fint Engineering OÜ) who wants to provide more information about framed walls to fabrication process.

Assembly Views, Schedules and Sheets are now separated into different tabs which makes it ease to find and control them. Under Assembly Views, you can predefine assembly views, graphical representation, and framing layers you want to present. Now you can predefine different framing, connection or part tags for each view. Also every view now can have its own frame dimensioning rules, which include dimension styles and positioning. There are no limits to the amount of views!

TOOLS4BIM Dock Gets Revit® 2017 Support and New Free Revit App

AGACAD is pleased to announce that all AGACAD applications for Autodesk® Revit® included in our tool management system TOOLS4BIM Dock* have already been updated for Revit 2017. From now on, AGACAD TOOLS4BIM products are compatible with all versions of Revit 2017 (excluding Revit LT) as well as the previous Revit 2016 & 2015**.

The main novelty of the TOOLS4BIM Dock 2017 version – it contains new Revit add-in named Smart Select that allows Revit users to select desired architectural, structural or MEP elements automatically by user configured parameters in just a few clicks.

It seems that this year will be the first, when everything is going according to plan. Autodesk company is about to release Autodesk® Revit® 2017 on April 17th 2017, while AGACAD plans to release its newest TOOLS4BIM products’ versions... on April 17th as well!

We are still working on our products’ 2017 versions but they are nearly ready. 2017 version testing is in full swing and is nearly completed. Most of AGACAD TOOLS4BIM products are already tested and work perfectly in Revit 2017 version environment. Our technical team needs to check just a few more BIM solutions, and if bugs don’t rush us over, the newest versions’ preparations will be complete. And voila! – You can use the new Revit version together with productivity-enhancing applications designed for Revit.

We announce that from now on all AGACAD TOOLS4BIM products support compatibility with both Autodesk® Revit® 2016 as well as the previous Revit 2015.

The main novelty of the 2016 version edition – it contains the installer that is a very convenient new platform for tool installation, activation and management named TOOLS4BIM Dock. All AGACAD TOOLS4BIM trials and purchased licenses are acceptable through this platform now. All functionality of our tools will be the same as before except the interface will be different.

AGACAD offers both network and standalone license types of software licenses. Software with standalone licensing allows users to install the software on a single workstation (1 license = 1 computer) without the need to be connected to a company network.

Network licensing helps software user to ensure his/her own access to the right product at the right time, and it enables easy and efficient control of software use. Another customer's benefit – the only fixed annual fee (valid for 12 months) is applied for a company but not per license.

Network license can be installed on as many computers as desired; however, at any one time, only the maximum number of computers, which is specified in the licenses, can run the software. The Network License Manager (NLM), installed on one or more servers, controls the distribution of particular product licenses to the users.

Based on our experience, AGACAD customers need to have the most effective licensing model to fit their operation rules. Therefore we improved the licensing models. Now AGACAD provides NLM Annual Service that enables current SLM licenses' migration to NLM licenses and vice versa.
