After Metal Framing Floor+ and Wood Framing Floor+ releases in February we are busy making improvements to Wood Framing Wall+. I think now is a good time to let you know about some new developments you'll soon be able to enjoy. Read below for the details, which will let you get an early look at some of these improvements.

We have already improved V connections, and we are also working on vertical sidings (vertical timber cladding systems) and other improvements related to logs. I just want to share few screenshots with our blog readers.

We're glad to announce that we are exhibiting at the UK's largest BIM conference at Manchester Central on the 8-9 of April to present our powerful BIM solutions and very valuable extensions for Autodesk® Revit® users. You will be able to explore our solutions' functionality on Stand 59.

This two-day conference offers the latest in practical BIM knowledge, on topics from starting your BIM journey to 5D integration and beyond. Come to meet the industry's expert speakers and join us for these days. We'll be exhibiting our time-saving BIM related solutions that help Revit users to perform complex design tasks: prefab structure design, wood & metal framing, sustainable design, MEP engineering, and BIM data management. Attendees will be shown various possibilities how they can improve their design and BIM data management efficiency working with Autodesk Revit software.

Do you know what to do, when you need to make new framing type of metal profiles for Metal Framing Floor+ or Metal Framing Wall+? Is it possible? Yes, of course. Metal Framing Floor+ and Metal Framing Wall+ users can work with various profiles and profile sizes that they could need in their Revit projects.

There are two ways of adding new type to your project:

  1. you can find new types in the default library that we provide together with a product;
  2. you can create a new family type by yourself.

Our team's created Metal Framing products have functionality that loads sample family types, but it loads not all of them. This functionality is mostly for the trial users or beginners. If it's not enough, I'll explain how you can find and add a new family type from our developed Metal Framing library. Please make following steps:

In the first part of the tutorial I spoke about how to create a generic wall mounted railings. In this part I will explain how to adjust those railings and be more precise on the detail.

This is the tricky part. If you, before selecting the railing, press Tab on your keyboard and select only the handrail you will be able to reach handrail properties. In Instance Properties tab only Identity Data fields can be changes but in Type Properties window plenty of useful parameter can be found.

Not so long ago we informed you about the release of the long awaited BIM solution Wood Framing Floor+. Today we have good news for all Autodesk® Revit® Architecture / Structure users who create floor framing systems: AGA CAD released new BIM solution Metal Framing Floor+!

This BIM software offers an extremely fast design of accurate and durable steel framed systems that can be done easily and efficiently. Metal Framing Floor+ contains a number of automated features and simple commands to increase accuracy and productivity when creating steel based floor system framing plans.

This BIM software for metal floor framing automatically generates floor metal framing members including joists, battens, bridging, blocking, rims and noggings for metal framed building model. Metal Framing Floor+ automatically adds and doubles headers and trimmers and inserts cripple joists when holes are cut around stairs or plumbing drops.

We are very happy to announce that timber floor frame design in Autodesk® Revit® can now be done easier than ever. To help you further increase your framed building design efficiency, we have completed our Wood Framing product package with the latest AGA CAD application for Revit.

Our long developed and accurately improved BIM solution Wood Framing Floor+ finally saw the light of day and it is officially released now.

From model to shop drawings

New BIM software for wooden floor framing provides a set of intuitive tools for wood-frame floor system modeling and automatic generation of its shop drawings. Wood Framing Floor+ helps Revit users automatically generate floor's light-frame wood structures, including framing members such as joists, battens, bridgings, blockings, bracings, rims and flooring for a timber framed building model.

Floor framing process needs to be flexible to accommodate to typical and non-typical projects. This BIM solution allows quick and easy frame out of any type of wooden frame floor. Floor modeling tools are versatile and easily customizable. The software automatically generates shop drawings that will be automatically updated according to model or framing changes.
