Modeling of prestressed concrete flooring systems is a very accurate and easi design process using this Revit add-on. Smart Floors modifies offsets and position of concrete floor panels and inserts holes into structural floor systems. We offer you a simple tool that will help you quickly choose the appropriate item for ventilation system from your library.

After establishment of element geometry it remains only to add necessary engineering information for this. Here our application Smart Diffusers for Autodesk Revit can be useful. Extension allows Revit MEP users to add unlimited number of engineering parametric equations into the MEP families. That defines relations between main HVAC parameters like Pressure Drop, Sound Power Level, Air Flow, Velocity, Throw, Duct Diameter, Free Area and other.

There is a big problem with data coordination between very different platforms such as AutoCAD and Revit. This question arises too often not to search for a good solution for it.

I’ve searched for a method to transfer some dynamic data from AutoCAD to MS Excel and Data Extraction method worked like a charm. At the time our team worked hard on a new tool called Excel2Revit which is a great helper in data coordination between Excel and Revit. You should see where I am getting here.

Today I will explain about the possibility to work with linked files using the Autodesk® Revit® extension Dynamic Legend. This post was inspired by our customer question “Does Dynamic Legend work on linked files, if yes, how?”, that we received last week.

Updating of Revit Legends is a matter of great concern for many Autodesk® Revit® users. We often receive questions: “Do you have an instruction for how to update the door legend when here has been any change in the project?” or something like that. So today I’ll try to explain, how to update Revit legends with ease.

For updating legends there is a separate function Update All Legends. This function allows you to update all selected legends with just one click.

All Mechanical Engineers know that each of the heating devices whether it is a radiator or a convector should have estimated traffic of water going through it. Hydraulic balancing of the system makes the distribution equivalent to each of the heating system device; then the system becomes efficient and cost-effective after the hydraulic balancing.

Improperly balanced system may cause not only unnecessary waste of energy but also low indoor climate and comfort conditions in a building. Heating system balancing influences the proper work of all the heating devices separately. As we know, water has specific properties to flow the way of least resistance. This feature can cause heating power failure. If the system is balanced improperly, the fluid flows through the nearest heating devices and it causes subsequent failure.
