Autodesk® Revit® users know well that this software does not place rooms in the best way. If designers need to add Spaces to the model with the same Room parameter values, they have to check the heights of rooms and correct them to be up to needed boundaries. Also they need to draw Area boundary lines manually and do other time wasting operations working with Revit project Rooms, Areas or Spaces (RAS).

RAS Manager

To help modellers, architects, MEP designers to place rooms, areas and spaces with required heights and parameters was created our tool for Revit named RAS Manager. This extension for Autodesk Revit Architecture / MEP enables to create and manage rooms, areas and spaces with HVAC parameters. RAS Manager automatically detects nearest elevations, room bounding and attaches room to it.

Overall heat transfer coefficient for simple constructions of building envelope could be calculated straightly in Autodesk® Revit®, but what to do if you have more complex constructions with profiles or air layers. The answer is easy – use U-Value solution from Tools 4 Revit!

U-Value is useful Autodesk® Revit® Architecture/MEP extension that calculates overall heat transfer coefficient (U-Value) for walls, floors, roofs, ceilings and foundation slabs. This BIM tool has a possibility to identify the heat flow direction. According to this direction the external and internal thermal resistance differs. This material automatically detects thermal insulation layer and its thickness and adds the profiles into this part of the construction:

Using our created Smart Hangers solution you can split any line based elements (ducts, pipes, cable trays, conduits) into segments according to your needs. Meanwhile the software is splitting your elements into individual segments; it also inserts the families in between them. That can help you to insert flanges or other required elements in your MEP system.

Here is a question from MEP engineer who designs fire protection systems using Revit® MEP: We don't layout sprinklers in architect drawing instead we link architect drawing and do layout sprinkler in our drawing. This may prevent me from picking a wall since architect drawing is linked in our drawing. How to distribute sprinklers in the linked Autodesk Revit files easily?
