We have good news for Autodesk® Revit® users who design framed buildings. Currently our team develops new version of Metal Framing Floor+ that will be more functional than ever. Using Metal Framing Floor+ updates, you’ll be able to create Ceilings, not just Floors!

I’ll shortly introduce the upcoming Metal Framing Floor+ functionality so that you can imagine how this updated application for Revit can be helpful to you. So keep your eyes, mind and fantasy open, that will soon come true.

Good news, everyone. At the end of last week, we released a new version of Smart Browser Manage with a couple of new features and a workflow improvement.

Smart Browser Manage is a powerful BIM solution for Autodesk® Revit® family search & management. It is rlevant for architects, designers, engineers, BIM modelers and BIM managers, because using Smart Browser Manage they can:

    • quickly and easily search Revit families and insert or drag-and-drop them into the project;
    • modify hundreds of selected Revit families: edit existing family parameters or add new parameters (including shared), etc.

We understand that Revit family search is a frequent task in many Revit users’ daily work, therefore we improved our Smart Browser Manage to make Revit family search & management even easier and simpler.

So, here are the changes in the new Smart Browser Manage version:

This blog post is inspired by some Wood Framing Wall+ users who have sent similar questions this month. All of them met with a similar challenge: sort each wood piece in the houses with a unique tag or an “article number”. Here are some examples of requests:

“The company I work for wants a schedule for the whole building, not one for every wall. Is it possible to get different FM SortMark for different parts? For example, the stud in "YV1" has a coping for bracing but the one in "YV2" don't. I would like Wall+ to set FM SortMark to S-1 in wall "YV1" and S-2 in wall "YV2", is it possible?”
“The tag isn’t unique for the studs cut length in different walls. It starts from VS-1 in each wall. Instead for each wall to start with VS-1, cut lengths for the entire house should be considered for the FM SortMark.”

Our technical support team often receives queries on how to frame one or another part of the framed building, how to prepare shop drawings and the like. With this blog post I want to answer a question which is often asked by framed building designers that apply for some expert support. Wood Framing Wall+ users often ask:

“I can't manage to get a top configuration like this (or with one rotated plate), please see the picture.”

Thank you.
