The Quickest Way to Insert Area Reinforcement in Revit Model

This time we again share our BIM advances in productivity enhancement working with Autodesk® Revit® without using any Revit plugin. Just read, learn and simplify your workflow.

If you want to insert Area Reinforcement along the whole contour of Floor, Wall or Foundation, then there is a quick way to do that. Instead of the regular way of drawing boundary for Area reinforcement in section or plan view, select Area Reinforcement command and select element which you want to reinforce:

Select instance properties for Area reinforcement, select Major Direction option in Create Reinforcement Boundary area and just draw direction line for the main reinforcement.

Click finish and your Revit element will have reinforcement covering all of its area:

This workflow can be applied for floors, walls and foundation slabs. Enjoy!
